Would you lie, cheat or steal,
If your child were starving
Or if pain was all you could feel?

To know the actions you would take
When your limits have been met
And you must face your mistakes
Our lives are fragile pages
In the book we sometimes call Life
The plot is always a mystery
When there's struggle, pain and strife
Morals, values and rules we live by
Come to question and are challenged
When our backs are to the wall
Or when we must be avenged
In a helpless and desperate situation
Instinct allows us to hate or love
In the critical moment of life or death
