never kills
sidekick hands
become very bland
talk to me
with real words
not just smoke
have you heard
a blast to the past
two steps behind
should not be banned
should not be canned
so what have we learned
many things i have yearned
a world where one can speak
to flesh and not plastic
a convo with your face
a chat with good pace
its not too hard i say
to regress to the old days
when you felt my words
and i saw your gut reaction
and not a random voice in the dark
that has no human connection
flesh and blood communicated
is like a breath of fresh air
that enters your ears and your soul
so you must give up your control
and release it to the wind
and let it find its way again
to the one who was meant to bring
back the joy of speaking to a friend.
